Walk the rails under a high blue sky. Find the sag in the leaning fence, and step--carefully--over rusted wire. Follow a peninsula of blond grasses through a lake of loam, and come, at last, to the timber's edge where gray branches trace the sky and rose hips curl near purple canes.
Elena, A very interesting drawing. I wrote a story for my 5 year old granddaughter called "Fairy Dreamer." Vita's other grandmother is doing the illustrations, but she said she couldn't draw faries, and that fairies are invisible, so there are no picures of fairies in the story, only indications of light. But you have captured a very interesting moment in the life of this fairy. i love the colors.
Thank you, newell! Your story sounds delightful, and what a cool way to show fairies--through light alone. I made this picture with water color pencils that my aunt gave me recently. I find them really fun to use.
My "fairy" pictured here is actually more of an allegory of soul and stage of life than an actual fairy.
