Drops on magnolia blossoms,
dew on daffodils--
globes of water blow
kaleidoscope worlds:
a curve of magenta,
a flare of silver,
spring sunshine
turned to perfection's elixir.
Pressed, they burst,
leaving cool on fingertips
the damp of absence
and tears.
