So much less sure
of words, ideas, and
correct positioning
upon the earth.
Revelation and confusion--
headlights in fog,
the high beams blind,
while low win
a foot or two
of clarity.
God always offers
just the right amount
of light.

It's been too long since I read here, but what a delight browsing through your last several posts. The one about the effect of your dad's death is a lovely meditation indeed. And your poetry -- my dear young woman, please, please tell me you are submitting it here, there, and about! Do send some more to The Christendom Review! What a gift you have for imagery that leads to truth.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed your visit here, Dr. Impson! The meditation was a second attempt at a topic I first explored in an unsuccessful personal essay for Advanced Prose. It's not quite right yet--but it's getting closer. Thanks for valuing my poetry. I haven't submitted much, but feel encouraged now to create more over Christmas break and bravely enter the fray again!
